It was a very good day for us on the albacore grounds, in fact I think it would be safe to say we landed more albacore today that we have all year. The morning continued with multiple stops from five to twenty fish. After 12:00 it became slow with only the occasional jig fish or meter mark, then at about 16:00 things began to pop again. By dark we had wrangled up another 50 or 60 fish to round out the day.

Hi Folks,
We started out this morning in the same area we left off yesterday in hopes of finding more Bluefin and albacore. The action started out quick and we were able to string together several short stops on the albacore. But unfortunately it wouldn’t last for too long, and at about 10:00 am the bite dried up. We spent the rest of the day working our way north to try and find some cooperative fish but had no luck. Our ETA at Fisherman’s Landing will be about 6 am tomorrow morning where we will turn around for our annual July 4th 8 day trip.

On our way back to San Diego we stopped off and made a few drops for cods. They were biting. Our ETA is 06:30.
