July 29

July 29We arrived at Norm's yellowtail hot spot and boy! was it HOT! both fishing and weather, The guys had very good yellowtail fishing and even one token Pargo!!. Most of the day we had 3-8 fish going, They were bitting the Flyline sardine, YoYo, Dropper loop, Surface Iron, and even the Chunk!. After the guys had there way with the great yellowtail fishing Norm pointed the Shogun north, and now we are working our way home.

Yellows continue to bite (072910)Hello everyone;

Everything changes. Our weather took a turn for the worse. We had 18 to 22 knots of breeze most of the day, but that didn't stop the Yellowtail from biting. We had steady action on 18 to 25 pound Yellowtail, with a few going over 30 pounds. The grade of the Yellowtail improved, but the bite slowed some, but was still a good day of fishing. We are now headed north, and we will try for some bottom-fish in the morning, before we head for home.

So until tomorrow, good luck and good fishing, the R/p crew.

July 28Today the "Rocks" kicked out some fair tuna fishing for The Flash Sport fishing gang, but the Yellowtail played a little hide and seek from us. After lunch we pulled the pick and pointed the Shogun for another hot spot. We should be there in the early morning hours of the 29th. Shogun fans we have a few open spots on some future trips here on the Shogun, 1 spot on the Aug 1 Willfish Tackle 5 day and 5 spots on the Aug 18 Seeker Rods 7 day, Give Andrea a call at the office and book your spot for a fishing trip of a life time here on the Shogun.
