The action cools off (071810)

The action cools off (071810)Hello everyone;

We had a different day than yesterday. Let's start with the weather, we had overcast skies, flat seas, and chilly. Our weather was not the only thing to cool off, so did our fishing. We had a tough day, with only a handful of Bluefin, and some Albacore. We saw lots of fish feeding all day long, and they just didn't get on our bait.

Maybe things will change tomorrow, but we will try our luck at some Yellowtail tomorrow. Most of the Albacore are in the 18 to 30 pound fish, and the Bluefin are in the 25 to 30 pound catogory. All in all we had a fun day on the ocean, but we look forward to what tomorrow will bring.

So with that note, we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.

Albacore Make Big Showing (071710)

Albacore Make Big Showing (071710)Hello everyone;

Good weather, good food, and good fishing. Our weather today was just gorgeous, with flat seas, clear skies, and warm, and the weather was not the only thing that was warm today.

We had excellent Albacore fishing today, with limits for all. We had three different groups of fish. One group was the 12 to 18 pound fish, the second group was 18 to 22 pound fish, and the last group was 22 to 30 pound fish. Most of the fish were in the 20 to 28 pound catogory.

We had many anglers catch their first Albacore, and a few first time fisherman. We also caught a handful of Bluefin tuna. We will stay in the area for another day, and then make a decision on what or were to go. So until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew.

P.S. Kari, the cat's won't be happy, but you will be, and that makes me happy. Had a great day, but wish you were here to enjoy the action. Love you, see you soon, Dr. Ron

HI's number 2 (071610)

Hello everyone;

We departed Fisherman's landing at 10:30 hours on HI's 5 day long-range adventure. With a group of 31 anglers and a great load of bait, we are headed for points south.

Our weather today is just gorgeous, with clear skies, flat seas, and sunny. It is the prefect summer day. Roy gave a short seminar and a safety briefing. So with that note, wish us luck. The R/p crew (Roy, Dharyl, Billy, Eddie, Chris,Trevor, Anthony, and James).

Things Are Looking Up (071410)

Things Are Looking Up (071410)Hello everyone;

Weather today was just beautiful, with clear skies, a slight breeze, and sunny. Our morning was a bit slow, with only one Bluefin tuna caught. We saw lots of fish, but they would not bit, they are feeding on small bait fish. We departed the Bluefin area, and headed northwest, and we did find some Albacore late in the afternoon. Most of the Albacore were in the 18 to 25 pound range, with some going over 30+ pounds.

We will stay in this area until lunch, then we will call it a trip. So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
