hello folks, and good morning! yesterday we departed on the first of two Jerry Brown Line One sponsored trips. In the past, Jerry has been a most generous host, and this trip is no exception. He has provided many prizes and incentives to be taken advantage of over the course of the trip. The list consisting of:
1. A free long range trip on the R.P. for a tuna over 400lbs., caught on Line One of course.
2. $300 cash prize if you catch a three hundred pounder and get it mentioned in the Western Outdoor News.
3. $100 cash prize for each two hundred pounder caught. must be on Line One. limit 5 per person.
4. loads! of Line One Spectra to raffle off.
5. Gift certificates, an Avet reel full of Line One Spectra, hats, calendars, t shirts, Fishermans Processing certificates, and much more. Wow! are my fingers tired! Anyhow, as you can see, plenty of reasons to fish hard, and put in lots of time at the rail. So lets get to the events in progress. As this post is one day old, we will talk yesterday morning, which was very very cold and not quite what we have been used to in southern California lately. The remainder of our passengers who were not boarded the day before were afforded assistance by Fisherman's Landing, and Royal Polaris personnel. All ready to go by 7 a.m., we headed for the bait receivers and got our loading out of the way. Very much pain free, as all of our boxes were in a row and we did not have to do a lot of moving, as is the case sometimes. A couple hours there and then we were off to the races! Going against an opposing minimal swell and light wind, we made average speed for most of the day and into sundown. A gentle roll which should be enough to rock everyone right to sleep, barely laps the hull on occasion. Basketball on the satellite TV, a great wahoo dinner, with an outstanding sauce, and all that is left to do is say "good night". The next several days will be focused on tackle preparation. Just one of the many areas In which i can assure you that the Royal Polaris crew is "absolutely the best in the Business."
