Knock, Knock.
Who's there?
Wa....
I'll let you guys out there finish it off. Tuna fishing today was terribly slow but we made great use of our time with our favorite alternate species. We got 41 Hoo today and a couple of the stops were classic chaos. Apologies to you environmentalists out there, we did leave some unavoidable chrome, steel, iron and whatever else wahoo casting jigs are made of in the ocean today, but that's par for the course for these fish, especially when they are of the exceptional quality that they were today. There is hope however, I've heard rumors that the wahoo have formed a co-op and they sell all the cut off jigs on Ebay. Most of them should be able to retire at an early age! Of particular note today was the wahoo catching ability of Gail Lynch. He started the morning with no tagged fish and got a full limit of hoo today. Also of continuing note is Peter Douglas who continues to be on fire winning daily prizes and catching the only tuna worth mentioning, a 168 lb. beauty which earned him a Calstar Blank. The scarcity of tuna has caused us to be on the "road" again, and we will begin fishing at our new destination tomorrow around lunch time. Wish us some better fishing for the big boys, and we wouldn't mind a quick prayer that our fabulous weather continues. It would be hard to improve on that part of the trip. If you are reading this on Monday, Happy Valentine's Day to all of our wives, children, and significant other's out there. Sorry we're not home to be with you, but no regrets that we're where we are either.
POEM FOR THE DAY:
The swordfish were quite busy schooling
Their curriculum particularly grueling
They practiced blocking and lunging
Piercing and plunging
Then paired up for one on one dueling.
