This will be my last report of the trip as the fishing is over and we are Cabo bound in what is so far beautiful traveling weather. I have enjoyed being the guest writer, and hope I made the reports enjoyable and informative. I, as well as all on board would like to thank Jack for being as always, one of the best, no make that THE best charter master around. His prizes are great and his loaner equipment is fantastic. Today is the saddest part of the trip...we have to give our Accurates back to him! Also we wish him a very happy birthday today. He has celebrated many of them on this annual trip. Now for the fishing report. We are plugged! The morning bite went off on schedule at it always has. We kept a few smaller ones for packing the RSW tightly and released several under 100. Wahoo bit a little for us today and the kite was working again and the RSW well rapidly filled up. We reeled in the lines and began the trip to the Cape around 10:30 with no more room for fish. For the morning we had 11 tuna and 15 wahoo. But now, self serving or not, I'll have to tell you that there was one fish of note today. I was on the kite and landed the last fish of the trip. As luck would have it, it turned out to be a 264 pounder, missing Claude's biggest on board by only 4 pounds. As you could guess, I'm on cloud nine with my second biggest fish ever. I don't know how they ever squeezed him in as full as we are, but I did offer to put him in the spare bunk in my stateroom if that was the only space left. It was a great ending for an even greater trip. I give my personal thanks to Frank and the amazing crew, and can't wait till Dec. and my next trip. Here it is, the last poem
POEM OF THE DAY:
I hooked a bait up to my pole
Getting him to swim, my ultimate goal
I cursed and implored
But was only ignored
Then he said "sir, speak Espanol!"
