bottom paint and wood work

E-mail Print PDF
Here are some more pictures from boat work being done at Knight and Carver boat yard in south bay, San Diego.  We started apply the first coat of epoxy to the bare steel of the hull.  You will see in the pictures what may seem mundane or you will ask yourself "why did he post a picture of a grey worm?"  That worm is a small part of the weld that holds the plates together of the Shogun.  That weld has been under salt water for twenty years.  To say it looks great is an understatement.  Norman is getting lots of wood work done in the galley.
