This morning started dark and early, jigging squid at the island. The sea biscuts(bass) gave us a showing in the grey, then the yellows went full speed. It was a very good morning of fishing/catching for us, while sitting on the anchor. After the school size fish left us we went in search of Premiums and found a willing batch. Nothing full speed, but steady one, two at a time. The Salas 7x Python was hot today, getting in on some of those big mossbacks in shallow water.

Since I have been fishing that whole spectra to wire set up on the narrow custom Newell, I have found that I won't ever go back to mono for throwing the surface iron. It takes a little getting used to, but I find it's advantages far outwiegh the disadvantages.
