    Teflon tube for chafing

Hi, Do you use teflon tubing for chafing. If you purchase the teflon tubing from an outside source (not a tackle store) , what is the brand/type and size for 100, 130 and 200 flurocarbon leader?

Look at the ID of the tubing and match it with your leader material. Remember that all fluoro leader diameters are not the same. One good place to look for tubing is Freelin-Wade.

Bill, here is the link for the place I buy from. Maybe I'm going to buy the larger spools from now on, as it would be a better savings. But the smaller spools last a long time. I use the 12 gauge for 300#, 14 gauge for 200#, and 16 gauge for 130-180#. I prefer the natural color, not the black. I still think about trying to remain stealthy.

What happened to the springs type? Are they not strong enough?
It's gonna be a long ride back home...

Springs are not very 'stealthy' in either silver or yuck green, relatively heavy, can't be cut to any desired length.
They were once all there was, but the teflon tubing is all you see now.
The color thing may be just a tiny advantage, but when you add up many tiny advantages . . . well you know.
